Date: October 27, 2024
Time: 1:00 pm
Join us for a fun-filled event on Sunday, October 27, from 1-3 PM! The kids will enjoy:
  • Meeting a Local Children’s Author: Nancy Salerno will bring copies of her book for you to purchase and have her sign!
  • Echo Location Game: A playful and engaging activity.
  • Bat Puppet Craft: Create and take home their very own bat puppet.
  • Additional Crafts: More creative activities to spark their imagination.

Plus, there’s an option to build a bat house! For $30.00 you can either make your own (with Nancy’s husband John) or choose from their premade ones.
(At checkout in the notes please let us know if you are interested in making your own bat house or purchasing one so there are supplies ready for you. Payment for this will be made day of the event directly to Nancy or John)

We look forward to a delightful afternoon with you! Program is geared for ages 4-7 but all are welcome!

About the Author: Nancy L. Salerno

Nancy, along with her husband John, have raised 4 children while owning and operating three early learning centers in Syracuse NY. After moving to Michigan in 1995, she opened another center and continued her career. Her experience in education spans over 40 years. Developing games, activities, and projects to challenge and inspire her students has always been a favorite activity. Since retiring, she has turned to writing children’s books, something she has always enjoyed. These books are filled with facts and are educational…without reading like textbooks. As the animals in the story learn and discover, so do children. It’s an adventure where we all grow together. All of the stories take place in the backyard of a likeable couple, the old man and the old lady who love observing nature and caring for their plants and animals. Now that her children are grown she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and often is inspired to write by their natural curiosity about the world.
